It is a shame how for all the bad Warframes that got some reworks or fixes to make them better than ever (Inaros and especially Hydroid), Caliban is still getting the short end of things. Yeah, we could probably throw in a few other frames too like Limbo, Triburos' favorite and especially Oberon (that poor guy can't catch a break), but Caliban does feel like it has flown under the radar since The New War. For a frame that was supposed to be the "Next big frame" to go along with the major shift in Warframe in so long, it felt (and continues to feel) like the most underwhelming addition to the game. I don't want to assume that they will try and fix Caliban when it comes time for him to get his prime, but if we were to take a guess at when it would be his turn, that is actually closer than we think. According to "jwflab" the rough estimated time we would see Caliban getting his prime would be around "Winter 2025" if we were to compare that to when Caliban launched, we would actually be closer to that prime launching than we were when Caliban launched. Hell, it would be terrifying to think if we were to get to December 2024 and we would celebrate Caliban's three year anniversary with a memorial. I know it takes times to fix up frames and to get them into a good position, and while it is hard to say which frames are on Pablo's crosshairs to get some love, Caliban does seem like an absolute front runner.

I have my own enegy economy setup, I usually pack my own survival too, I don't need a trinity, I wouldn't mind a wisp though, makes my guns go burr and adding health along with a hot is actually more effective then just restoring it and putting up a super short DR

Changes. If she generated 1 snare for 10 energy, which pulled in an enemy and held them at the range of her blades. 20 damage instances by blades (Probs 2 seconds or so) spawns another snare, which pulls in another enemy etc. Each enemy held would give 1% power strength, 1% armor, 1 energy regen, 1 health regen. This would snowball and would need a cap, and the main problem would be the held enemies blocking vision, so they should probably be translucent. Held enemies would extra vulnerable to damage from their allies and your teammates. Their own allies killing them gives you energy/armor/health regen. Have merulina be an exalted weapon that can fire on its own (Maybe pet weapons, maybe it's own weapon, maybe a nerfed primary) and generate AOE armor strip pulses every few seconds. These pulses would be short range and affect the enemies held by snares. Allow primary and thrown melee from merulina (I recognize normal stanced weapons would be hard to do). Thrown weapons get extra bounces on enemies and increased aoe. 4 should be something scaling, like Saryn spores, but lower damage and, of course Jellyfish. These jellyfish should be persistant, but lack mobility, Should reproduce fairly quickly but with a cap. They should cause low damage electric procs. That would make for a fun frame with plenty of uniqueness and potential.

I think of the status blocking power as a way to free up modspace by dropping prime sure footed. I DO wish it has some kind of offensive utility, like a % chance to radproc those shooting at you or a rad aura AOE similar to the cold and heat decrees, but honestly I really like this power. It really enhances his survivability due to his crazy innate armor. With Arcane Guardian and Grace, he might not hit the hardest, but BOY is he tanky. I am thinking of testing him by adding a ton of health with archon shards. My hope is this will increase his HP regen/second with arcane grace. If I was to replace this power, I would probably pick gloom. Not only is gloom EXTREMELY powerful in steel path circuit, it is great for keeping enemies in range of towers. (My fav steel path circuit frame is Rhino. Melee cete lacera - with riven - was one shotting lvl 1400 thrax. Atomos is great, spreading status like a demon. Record is level 1400. had to leave because teammates were falling. Use the red barriers in the assassination to supercharge iron skin. Helminth gloom. Drop a little power strength for range because decrees more than make up for it. If you get the 3 reroll option on going in, pick it. Get the corrupted decree for .5 weapon damage for 600% power strength (Absurd with rhino's roar. Got it up to 400% ish), the decree that gives you 5 energy regen/second, and the other decree that gives you power strength per 50 armor you have. Arcane guardian + molt augmented. the decree that gives you power strength per armor you have. The result is insane. Gloom gets so strong enemies just freeze. Freezes eximus and thrax as soon as their overguard drops. Sacrificing power strength for a little extra range means basically no enemies can shoot you. Also get the 3% damage reduction per decree. One of the most powerful decree combos is the one that spread status to nearby enemies and the one that doubles status damage. This can create a HILARIOUS feedback loop with oculor, atomos or any status weapon with high fire rate. Also get the 10% fire rate per shot and the other gun damage upgrades. Trumna can be a monster. Cedo can wipe dozens of enemies with alt fire and a status build. Blast + status spread decree + double status damage decree is a riot.)

As someone who has 6k hours in Warframe and been with the game since the beginning a major problem ive seen and one that i believe is a big reason for why damage frames have become the norm is that the game used to be a lot less grindy in its mechanics and there were a lot less things to grind for. now with the game having basically become "grindframe" no one wants to spend the time to play the game with strategy and variety when they can just burst in kill everything as fast as possible and repeat to optimize the grind for that one thing theyre after.

I think Kullervo's passive is fine, or hell even GREAT by most measures. I'm reminded of something like Excal's passive just being "here, be better with swords", and Kullervo's passive is basically "Here, be *Extremely* good at using heavy attacks"

Granted, I'm tempted to be a snarky bitch and note that I think that it's less that RANGE is more important than anything else and that AoE is more important than anything else. If RAnge was the problem then Snipers would be meta. Like, I've been building an Umbra, and I think the more important thing than the fact that his exalted blade is "ranged" is more the fact that it serves as a hitbox extender that makes it hit not only the guy you're aiming at, but the guy behind the guy you're aiming at. giving you basically Dynasty Warrior hitboxes.

I replaced the swappable powers with gloom (great synergy), roar (duh), pillage, condemn, Ophanium eyes (Great), Chyrinka Pillar (more fun than I thought), Terrify (Duh). Lycath's hunt is OK, but Xaku's guns don't really do headshots, so you can use longer range guns to get energy and leave the close enemies to your floaty guns. I really like gloom. It gives floaty guns a much longer time to shoot at enemies, and lets you ignore charging melee enemies in order to focus on eximus units. It also slows the fire rate of nearby enemies immensely, which greatly helps survivability. Lycath's hunt is also great. It lets your floaty guns handle the close enemies and you can headshot farther enemies for energy. This also lets you go into negative efficiency for power strength, which makes everything feel much stronger. Gloom is the pick for steel path circuit, because if you get the corrupted decree that gives you .5 weapon damage for 600% power strength, enemies in gloom just freeze. You also get a NUTTY amount of life leech. your floaty guns also do a CRAZY amount of damage.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa... Can't take that commentary about pageflight to the face. Pageflight is arguably one of his strongest buffs, only right behind tragedy itself. Pageflight doesn't just increase status vuln, it also amps status damage. The vuln itself is already a huge buff to tragedy damage. Doubling or tripling your status procs applied is kinda just huge on its own. THEN the next damage amp happens. 100 becomes 300 becomes 600. Hes right up there in terms of overlapping his damage multiplier. Then you get into tragedy taking all that damage and multiplying it again. The birds are great, they're slow yes but anything they touch is gonna die to any status dot. They turn a 2k bleed tick from dante's 3, into a 250k tick. They're massively strong

Ur really sleeping on noctua. I'll run that as my main dps and top high damage frames with it, it hits SUPER hard. And page flight is honestly goated. Being able to take some heat off you and allies to keep your overguard up and higher is great. Every single part of his 4 is phenomenal and easily is an s tier frame
